Dejan Kulusevski maintained that Cristiano Ronaldo could not be stopped as the Juventus teammates were preparing to enter the League of Nations between Sweden and Portugal.
Ronaldo and Portugal will welcome the Swedish Kulusevsky to Lisbon on Wednesday’s League A, Group 3 match-up.
Ronaldo, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, scored twice as Portugal beat Sweden 2-0 in September.
“There is no one who can deter him. If he has a good day, he decides all on his own,” Kulusevsky said via Aftonbladet.
“We didn’t manage to stop the last match, but we got another chance on Wednesday.
“I don’t know how to stop him, you’ve got to be rough to get him upset. I know what it’s like to play against hostile backs, and at the end of the day, you get irritated.
Kulusevski joined Atalanta as a 16-year-old from his native Brommapojkarna in Sweden in 2016-and made three appearances for the Bergamo club during the 2018-19 season.
He was then lent to Parma for the 2019-20 season, where he excelled, scored 10 goals and made nine assists in an outstanding Serie A campaign.
Kulusevski’s Parma form won him a €35 million (£30m/$39 m) move to Juventus-where both Serie A games under new coach Andrea Pirlo began this season, scoring one goal.
The talented attacker was only used for 20 minutes as a substitute in the Swedish match against France in September, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic describing the decision of coach Janne Andersson as a ‘f*cking joke.’
